Can I easily create long pages with text and images?

I started my app using a template but I messed it up.  I found it really hard to create a longish page as my last text entry accidentally went over the email icon in footer and I lost that footer.  I also added text after a Contact Us form and it seems deleted the form itself!  Before I get too deep into this app creation program with a new template, will I be able to do the following easily?

App is information-based (providing scientific information in one field) and has only 5 pages.  On one page I want to add new text additions ("news") with periodic images for a somewhat lengthy page (a few "feet" of scrolling).  THEN when such additions are no longer "news" I will want to cut the text from that "news" page and paste it into a page with "older news."  That one will be quite long with text (like scrolling down a newspaper website).

Should I use a Wizard or start an app from scratch (the only thing I don't like about that option is I won't know how to insert an "email me" icon or "contact us" page).

Lastly, when attempting a long page in my first template, I noticed the text in the editor (where one enters the text) became HUGE even though the size of the font was kept at "tiny."  Yes, the app I was creating still had tiny text but it was hard to write a paragraph with text as large as size 72 in Word!

So, experts, can I create my app using Mobincube or will it be too much of a headache?
